The Internet is a big place and I’m flattered that you’ve made your way to my little corner of the World Wide Web!
Before you read any further, you should know that www.annychih.com is a personal website where I publicly expose the contents of my mind in a sometimes haphazard way. These thoughts are my own and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of my clients, employers, coworkers, blog sponsors, personal contacts, or anyone else for that matter.
Now that the legal disclaimer is written, I can move onto answering the burning questions that brought you here in the first place:
- My blood type is O Positive, I always have travel insurance, and as far as I know I’m not allergic to anything except cheap metal (i.e. nickel). Thanks in advance!
- Yes, I still really don’t like bananas. The last time I ate a chunk of banana was at my good friend’s birthday gathering (his mum made banana cream cake); I’d do just about anything for my friends.
- The last article I wrote was probably published in the last seven days. I’m a freelance writer with a weekly column in Vancouver 24 Hours. My other work involves composing marketing copy for various clients in the tourism and recreation industry, and producing events for web development and photography communities. If you’re interested in finding out more, drop me a line – it’s faster than filtering through Google page results.
- My first television appearance was on Lamb Chop’s Play-Along when I was about six years old. I remember thinking Shari Lewis was super nice. One day when I arrived early for a recording she took the time to show me her studio closet and taught me my first media wardrobe lesson: light shades can look washed out on television so it’s best to choose something with a bit more colour. A list of my more recent television appearances can be found on the Media page.
- This website was originally used to update my friends and family during my first solo adventure across Russia in the winter of 2008. It was revamped in 2009 during my campaign for the Best Job in the World in which I was selected as a Top 50 candidate out of nearly 35,000 international applicants, and served as a platform for my travel blog throughout Queensland, Australia and on a road-trip circumnavigating the USA that same year. Today, the website continues to be the place where I update my friends and family about what I’m up to, wherever I am in the world. I hope you enjoy reading about my adventures!
