I tasted kangaroo before, and found that it had a very strong, gamey taste that I didn't care for at all. :P Just as an FYI, the river you crossed using the ferry is called The Daintree River, which also happens to be croc infested. Some of the locals (one family lives right next to the ferry, you can see their driveway as you approach) apparently swim in the river nevertheless. I was told though that they usually let the family "sacrificial dog" jump in for a swim first. MEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAANNNNNNNNN!
